Kristina Pospeshil
Kristina graduated from Western Michigan University as a dance major with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in dance, cum laude. She trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Modern, with professional performance and choreography experience through TJ & Company’s production of The Cracked Nut. After 20 years of teaching many different ages, students, and styles of dance, she now specializes in teaching Ballet, Pre-Pointe, Stretch & Tone, and/or technique based classes that help strengthen each dancer to achieve their dance related goals. The growth and continuation of what KSD stands for takes up most of her time these days, but her training as a dancer and teacher never stops.   

Diane Pospeshil 

Before opening Kristina's Studio of Dance in 2000, Diane operated a dance studio on her own for over a decade. She has been instructing dance all of her adult life. Her training was in multiple dance genres, and she passes that foundation on to each generation of students at KSD. Her wealth of knowledge for dance education comes from her vast experience in the field.  

Matt Pospeshil 
Matt Pospeshil grew up dancing in the northern suburbs of Chicago, and got his start professionally with Especially Tap Chicago (dir. Julie Cartier). He furthered his education at Western Michigan University and got a BA in Dance. After college, Matt returned home to dance in Chicago. He danced with Inaside Chicago Dance (dir. Richard Smith), & returned to teach with his family at KSD. Post dancing with Inaside he returned to tap dance. Matt had the pleasure to work with Chicago Tap Theatre (dir. Mark Yonally) and The Cartier Collective. He currently is dancing with Chicago Human Rhythm Project's resident company, BAM! (dir. Lane Alexander).

Helen Grdina 

Helen graduated from Hope College with a BA in Secondary Education with endorsements in Dance and Math, cum laude. While at school, she toured and performed in Hope’s affiliate dance companies, allowing her to work with choreographers such as Crystal Frazier, Matt Farmer, and Sharon Wong. Touring allowed her to dance alongside companies such as Chicago Tap Theatre, Lehrer Dance, and  HappenDance. While performing and at school, Helen has also taught at studios and public schools in the Western Michigan area. Since graduation she has returned to Chicago to further her dance studies while also traveling back to Michigan to guest choreograph.

Katelyn Bevis
Katelyn currently dances with Chicago Dance Crash (dir. Jessica Deahr).
A former competitive gymnast and current country music-lover, Katelyn Christine's most recent training has been at Style Dance Academy, Dance Werks National Workshop, and the Inaside Chicago Dance Youth Trainee Program under the instruction of Richard Smith, Sarah Ford, and Ellen Werksman. Following in Artistic Director Jessica Deahr's footsteps, KC spends her offnights from Crash tricking and toprocking at rock clubs all across Illinois.

Danie Johnson - Danie Johnson was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and received a BFA in Dance Performance from East Carolina University. In her time at East Carolina, she has gotten the opportunity to work with artists such as Ronnie Koresh, Zalman Grinberg, Galina Panova, Richard Smith, and John Dixon. She performed at the Kennedy Center in 2014 for the national showcase of the American College Dance Festival. The past 3 years, she has worked and trained with the Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive in New York City. She has performed in several locations throughout the East Coast and is beginning her journey this season with Inaside Dance Chicago as a Performing Apprentice. Danie has a huge passion for teaching and encouraging youth. 

Dani Bitout
Dani Bitout is a Graduate from Wheeling High School, and currently attending Northern Illinois University. She is majoring in Dance Performance, and also was a member of the NIU Dance Team. She has choreographic experience within NIU's Theater department & WHS Orchesis. She has had the pleasure to work with fantastic guest choreographers through WHS & NIU Dance Programs. She is also an HDE alumni, and excited to be back teaching at KSD.

Sari Greenberg - Private & Group Voice Teacher

Sari received a BFA in musical theatre from The Chicago College of Performing Arts Theatre Conservatory at Roosevelt University and then moved to New York City where she performed in numerous cabaret shows, musical revues and national tours including playing Lady Gaga in the hit show, Bad Romance. While in NYC Sari worked at the world famous Duplex Piano Bar for three years where she performed with the best of Broadway every night. Most recently, Sari has been touring the country performing in the original musical Moishe Oysher. Sari also performed in the concert, If it Weren’t for the Irish and the Jews at Chicago’s Symphony Center with actor, Martin Sheen. Based in Chicago, Sari can be seen and heard in numerous print ads, voiceover and television commercials which are airing nationwide.

Naomi Sitzmann - Private Piano Teacher
Naomi Sitzmann has a Bachelors of Music from the University of Iowa, & a Masters in Piano Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University. She's been teaching private piano for 25 years. She has also taught "Music Together" classes and preschool music. She accompanies 6-8th graders participating in IGSMA each year. She is honored to be a part of the KSD family.

Marty Pospeshil - Private & Group Guitar Teacher
Marty Pospeshil is co-founder and leader of the Jazz-Rock-Blues ensemble Emotional Shock. The band has recorded and played throughout the Tri-state area for the past 20 years. He has taught group and private guitar lessons at local park districts for as long as he has been playing professionally. He also is very experienced in musical instrument retail, working in the industry for over 10 years. He is a presenter at the annual Make Our Own Music conference, formally known as String Along. He is happy to still be sharing his vast knowledge of music education to youth and adults alike.
